Head Referees: MrTeapot & Typhus
Playing Referees: Walchuck
Schedule: We’re playing 5 games, using swiss pairings, 10 days for each game, with a 1 week break between rounds 3 and 4.
Tournament start: 04.05
Round One: 04.05-13.05
Round Two: 14.05-23.05
Round Three: 24.05-03.06
Break: 04.06-11.06
Round Four: 12.06-21.06
Round Five: 22.06-01.07
- Teams consist of 5 players.
- One codex per team (this means also one space marine army, excluding GK).
- Pairings for each round will be visible on wh40k.pl, in TK and pinned on discord.
- TTS adds +10points for painted armies, do not delete that.
- No result after round ends will result in automatic 0:0 for both players, unless both players agree on a draw (10:10 game score, 0:0vp) or a walkover due to one of the players being unable to play (15:0 game, 25:0vp)
- Every match needs to be played with both contestants being in one of our discord voice channels- if no channel is available ask an admin to make you a new one).
- In the event of a disconnect start the game from the newest save. If no saves exists the players need to start over.
-By registering for the league the player agrees that his game might be streamed either on discord or another streaming service and that a video of his game might be publicly available.
Army compisition:
- Battle-forged
- Strike Force (12 CP, 3 detachments, max 3 of the same unit that’s not a troops or transport)
- 2000pts
- FW allowed
- Psychic Awakening allowed
- 8th edition specialist detachments (aka Vigilus) banned
- Players cannot change their lists for the first three rounds. During the break between rounds three and four the players can submit a different list.
General rules:
- we’re using 9th edition rules, with all codexes, FAQs, Chapter Approveds, WTC FAQs released before 30.04 for the first three rounds. The rules cutoff for subsequent rounds is 09.06
- we’ll be playing on 60x44” tables
-If something is not in the rulespack the referees can (and will) make relevant rulings during the tourney.
- You do not have to create army with Battlescribe TTS.
- You do not have to use chess clocks, but if one of the players wants to, clocks are in use - set the time for 2 hours 15 minutes for each player and start it after deployment. Then you change the time for each player's round or each time the player is taking action (throwing saves etc.) - you need to establish it before game. You stop the clock each time you call a judge. Overruning your opponent's time by asking about every rule, asking to show every stratagem etc. is forbidden and will be punished. With the end of the time the opponent is not allowed to take any actions, except of throwing save rolls and morale (but is still scoring his objectives, etc.).
- You may also split a game over different days if time is short.
- If both parties can’t find a common time to play their match during the round’s time, it will be counted as a 10-10 draw. If one party clearly tries a lot harder to make the match happen, then the Head Judge can modify the 10-10 score accordingly. Please contact a Judge on Discord if your opponent doesn’t answer or you can’t make a date during the week.
- Walkover is when one of the players does not appears for match in the pre-established game without an excuse or does not responds to opponent's messages and is scored 15-0.
- You are allowed to find substitution player but only if both capitans agree.
TEAM SCORE
The combined total of all scores from all the players on a given team will give the result for the Team as a whole, up to 65 Team Points max and 35 points minimum.
Example: a result of 83:17 would result in a 65:35 score, but a result of 55:45 would result in a 55:45 round score.
Pairings
1) Captains roll off to determine which team will get to choose its table first. That team gains the
“table choice” token.
2) Team A and team B secretly choose their defender and reveal them simultaneously.
3) After that, Team A and team B secretly choose their two attackers for the given defender and
reveal them simultaneously.
4) Team A takes the two attackers given by team B, and secretly chooses which one is refused.
5) Team B does the same with the two attackers selected by team A.
At this point, two defenders know their attackers; this identifies two games. Log this on the
score sheet. The Team with the “table choice” token lets his defender choose the table first followed by the defender whose team didn’t have the table choice token. Two tables are now no longer available.
6) Repeat steps 2-5 (until only 2 players remain) with the difference that the Team without the “table choice” token now becomes the owner of this token throughout this pairing step
7) The remaining 2 players play against each other on the remaining table.
Pre-game actions
* Place objective markers as shown in the mission rules.
* Both players choose their secondary objectives in secret and reveal them simultaneously.
* Players roll off to determine who will be the attacker and who will be the defender.
* Defender chooses the deployment zone for his army, attacker takes the other one.
* Both players secretly note down what units start in transports or in reserves and reveal that simultaneously.
* The players alternate setting up their remaining units one at a time, starting with the Defender.
* Roll off – The winner takes the first turn.
* Pre-game deployment step for abilities or stratagems that take place prior to the start of the first turn
* Players announce their remaining available command points and clearly mark this somewhere for their opponent to keep track of during the game.
* Start the first battle round
Terrain:
- 5 WTC tables (draft 10.32) will be in use. Tables 1, 3 and 6 will not be in use.
